My current research focuses on how technology, policy, and consumer preferences shape markets for animal products. My work is empirical, and sits at the intersection of industrial organization, agricultural economics, and environmental economics.
Current Focus
I'm currently studying how technology and policy shape markets for animal products. My active projects analyze the history of the American broiler chicken industry and the consumer valuation of the cage-free egg transition.
Selected Work
Background
Previously, I was a research intern at Coefficient Giving, and a predoctoral researcher in economics at Oxford University's Global Priorities Institute, working with Maya Eden and Benjamin Enke. I did my undergraduate degree at the University of São Paulo.
Outside of research, I've taken the Giving What We Can pledge to donate 10% of my income to effective charities. I also enjoy studying foreign languages, particularly Mandarin, and have won the Brazilian stage of the Chinese Bridge competition.
